Guardians of the Water
We promote gender justice through employability for women who seek economic emancipation and an opportunity to learn and grow within a young, vibrant and inclusive project as "Guardians of Water".
Being a Guardian of Water empowers, it is an active and conscious task that not only gradually frees women from daily concerns, but also opens up the possibilities for more changes and more spaces for intervention and participation.

“There have been changes. We are witnesses of those changes. I like to collaborate, and work with my close colleagues, some of us work in the afternoon and others in the morning. When my colleagues invite me to collaborate, I am always ready.”

"We have many problems regarding rainwater. It falls on the roads and floods the bathrooms. That is why this project seems very important to me. This way we are not only going to collect all the water, but it will also generate resources for us. That is why I think it's a very good thing."

"Now the community is cleaner and more beautiful, we take care of the environment. But we must continue because the dirty water from the houses pollutes the river and can cause landslides. I believe that things will improve and I hope that soon we will see the result of our efforts.”

“When I got pregnant we looked for a better life in the invasion, a little house with more space for the family. Since then this is my community. This project will be good for everyone, we must keep the neighborhood clean and take care of our river so that the children can continue playing in it.”
